Puzzled Penny and Her Pals began as a comic strip. Each cartoon panel told of a little girl, Puzzled Penny, who gets her words mixed up. She confuses herself, as well as her family and friends. Penny's thinking can become very puzzling.

Within the comic illustrations, there appeared a longer story bursting to tell. It was as if Penny had whispered into the minds of her creators to do that very thing. And so they did. Penny has blossomed into a collection of short chapters.

The stories contain wholesome enjoyment, similar to the comic strip, Peanuts, by Charles Schulz.
